MinProcess
Group is the Philippines arm of
Process Minerals Inc & Crushing Services Inc the leading
Mineral Sands crushing companies in Australia.
With its Philippines head office is based in Makati City, Manila, MPG
plans to establish mine sites across
the Philippines over the next two years, each of which will operate for
5-10 years.
Imaginet
was contracted by MPG to design and install and VOIP based telephony
system that would provide the Philippine offices with improved IT integration and reduced cost national/local calls and able to provide
low cost international calls to the Australian Head office
Imaginet utilizes Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) for VoIP based PABX
systems. As an open standard SIP based equipment is compatible with all
other SIP equipment giving greater design flexibility and overall system
reliability. The SIP based PABX allows all the traditional PABX
functions but gives companies a wide range of additional features such
as multi-site connections, security, IT system integration, low cost
international calls and wireless connections.
Security during transmission is ensured by using industry standard G7.11
or G7.29 encryption for all voice transmissions.
MPG benefits from the SIP PABX’s ability to integrate into their IT
systems. This allows the setting up of company wide Instant Messaging
(IM), directory information and cost/usage monitoring. Using a Virtual
Private Network connection (VPN) Remote / Long Line Extensions were established either permanently or temporarily between the head office
and the remote locations. These long line extensions work as if they are
located at the head office. All functionality and operation is possible
at the remote locations and all communication between Head Office and
Remote locations are free.
The SIP PABX’s used by Imaginet allows the integration of the
traditional PSTN (Public Switched Telephone System) connections from
Globe Telecom. However, in addition to this the SIP system can
“intelligently” route calls to make use of low cost options and lines
offered by telephony providers.
Imaginet - Proving VoIP is more than just low cost calls!
