Regional I.T. Support |

Through its dedication to innovation and continual customer contact, Williamson-Dickie has transformed itself from a small bib overall company to the largest workwear manufacturer today. Sold throughout the world Dickies now offers a broad spectrum of garments ranging from work pants and work shirts to denim jeans and women's workwear. Since its beginnings in 1922, every piece of Dickies workwear has stood for the quality, toughness, and pride. Imaginet were approached by Williamson-Dickie Manufacturing Co. prior to the opening of their Regional Headquarters in Metro Manila, Philippines. This hub was to serve the Asian region procurement division and would eventually have a staff of 50. However, as nearly all of the Williamson-Dickie staff are “field based” to maintain costs at a low level no permanent MIS staff would be based at this new office. To take the place of the in-house MIS resources, Williamson-Dickie’s Head Office in America teamed up with Imaginet to create a Managed Network Services support agreement to provide the outsourced I.T. support for the Asian hub. At the initial stages only a small number of staff were based in Manila. Therefore the I.T. structure installed was designed to be able to grow “organically” as the number of staff and their requirements increased. Interfacing with Williamson-Dickie’s U.S. based MIS team, Imaginet ensured that their Asian based staff receive 24/7 support whilst on business trips or at the Manila office. Using planned and automated preventive maintenance, Imaginet reduces the likelihood of a system or service failure, and reduce time to recover in the event of an unplanned outage without impacting Williamson-Dickie's I.T. resources. This “out of office time” support is especially critical as the field staff travel to many different countries in the region encountering a large number of differing telecom and Internet systems and standards, business center configuration problems etc. across multiple time zones.
